Re: Termination of Extension Agreement

Greetings:

As you know, we have been operating under an extension of the UAW Chrysler National Agreements since those agreements expired at midnight on September 14, 2007. Your bargaining committee worked long hours this weekend in an attempt to reach a tentative agreement. Many difficult issues have been discussed involving the wages and benefits of the UAW-represented members. The Company has thus far failed to make an offer that adequately addresses the needs of our membership.

We have therefore informed the Company that the extension will terminate at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2007, and unless we have achieved the basis for a tentative agreement on or before 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2007, we will be left with no choice but to commence a strike at all UAW Chrysler facilities effective 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 10, 2007. Unless you receive notice otherwise, a strike is authorized at all locations at that time.

This notice applies to the National Production, Maintenance and Parts Agreement and the National Office and Clerical and National Engineering Agreements.

In solidarity,
Ron Gettelfinger President
International Union, UAW

Vice President and Director
